Detroit Lions v. Dallas Cowboys
This game is a lot less interesting with Matthew Stafford sidelined with a back injury. Based on how the Cowboys have played in 2019, I would typically count on my Lions to take this game away from Dallas. However, they will be out-manned without their starting quarterback. The Cowboys take this one, but Detroit keeps fighting and keeps it within a score.
- Last Meeting – 2018 Week 4 (26-24 Cowboys Win)
Straight Up Pick: Dallas Cowboys
Against the Spread: Detroit Lions +7
Over/Under: UNDER 47
Indianapolis Colts v. Jacksonville Jaguars
Indianapolis has had a rough couple weeks without Jacoby Brissett steering the offense in the right direction. It appears that Brissett will be back for this game, but they get to match up against a tough defense in Jacksonville. Both teams are still alive in the playoff hunt, so this game is an important one. My gut is telling me Jacksonville takes this one, so that is where I am leaning. Jags cover the 3 points and win outright.
- Last Meeting – 2018 Week 13 (6-0 Jaguars Win)
Straight Up Pick: Jacksonville Jaguars
Against the Spread: Jacksonville Jaguars +3
Over/Under: UNDER 43.5
Miami Dolphins v. Buffalo Bills
It appears Miami is on a hot streak. They have won 2 consecutive games and are no longer have the worst record in the NFL. Considering how their season has played out, I am not sure if that is a good thing. I am quite certain it is not. Buffalo will be playing for a playoff spot the rest of the season. Expect Buffalo to come out strong in this one and take out the “surging” Dolphins. Bills win and cover.
- Last Meeting – 2019 Week 7 (31-21 Bills Win)
Straight Up Pick: Buffalo Bills
Against the Spread: Buffalo Bills -6
Over/Under: OVER 41
Minnesota Vikings v. Denver Broncos
Minnesota is playing some of the best football we have seen all year long. They are definitely in the NFC playoff hunt, and in all likelihood, will compete with the Packers until the last game for the NFC North Title. The Broncos on the other hand, are holding on to their last thread of hope for anything positive this season. The Vikings should handle their business in this game, but expect the Broncos to fight to the last second. Vikings win, Broncos cover the 10.5 points.
- Last Meeting – 2015 Week 4 (23-20 Broncos Win)
Straight Up Pick: Minnesota Vikings
Against the Spread: Denver Broncos +10.5
Over/Under: OVER 40
Tampa Bay Buccaneers v. New Orleans Saints
New Orleans dropped a very winnable game last week against the lowly Atlanta Falcons. They can’t afford to lose another game to a team well out of the playoff hunt this week. I don’t think Drew Brees and company will let it happen again against another divisional opponent. Expect the Saints to come out strong and put up points early against one of the worst defenses in the league. Saints take this one and cover the 5.5 point spread.
- Last Meeting – 2019 Week 5 (31-24 Saints Win)
Straight Up Pick: New Orleans Saints
Against the Spread: New Orleans Saints -5.5
Over/Under: OVER 50
Washington Redskins v. New York Jets
We have another important game when it comes to the 2020 draft order. The Redskins and Jets are both in contention to grab that number 1 pick in next years draft. So that should make this game tricky to pick, since the winner could end up a bigger loser for it. Despite it being played in Washington, I am rolling with the Jets to cover the 1 point and come away with the win.
- Last Meeting – 2015 Week 6 (34-20 Jets Win)
Straight Up Pick: New York Jets
Against the Spread: New York Jets +1
Over/Under: OVER 39
Carolina Panthers v. Atlanta Falcons
This is a pretty important game for the Carolina Panthers as they look to stay withing reach of a playoff spot in 2019. The Falcons should be a great opponent to face to pad the win column, but that didn’t work out too well for the Saints a week ago. Despite Atlanta’s upset win last week, I just don’t see it coming together for a second week in a row. Give me the Panthers straight up and against the spread.
- Last Meeting – 2018 Week 16 (24-10 Falcons Win)
Straight Up Pick: Carolina Panthers
Against the Spread: Carolina Panthers -6
Over/Under: OVER 49.5
Baltimore Ravens v. Houston Texans
This one should be a great game on Sunday, as it pits 2 teams that are well within the playoff seedings if the season were to end today. The Ravens are on top of the AFC North and the Texans are on top of the AFC South. It could be a very important game in terms of playoff seeding as these two teams are currently fighting for that first round bye. Based on what I have watched from these two teams in 2019 I am giving the edge to Lamar Jackson and the Ravens at home. I’ll take the Ravens at -4.5.
- Last Meeting – 2017 Week 12 (23-16 Ravens Win)
Straight Up Pick: Baltimore Ravens
Against the Spread: Baltimore Ravens -4.5
Over/Under: OVER 51.5
