We roll into Week 4 still trying to get our Lock of the Week completely right. We banked on the Saints taking a step back last week without Drew Brees, and that didn’t pan out for us, as New Orleans was able to take down our lock, Seattle. Our Upset of the Week worked out perfectly, as the Lions were able to roll into Philadelphia and win a gritty, sloppy game.
Upset of the Week
Tennessee Titans (+4) over Atlanta Falcons
Neither of these teams give me a ton of confidence, as they both should have better records than 1-2. They are more talented, better coached, and match up well against other opponents. However, they have both underperformed and have been underwhelming. I am picking the Titans due to their style of play matching up well against the Falcons. Tennessee will matchup with the Falcons similarly to how they matched up with the Browns in Week 1. A game in which they completely dominated. If the Titans can punch the Falcons in the face early on and knock them off their finesse offense, I expect the Titans to come away with the win.
Lock of the Week
Seattle Seahawks (-5.5) over Arizona Cardinals
I am going to give the Seahawks another chance at redeeming themselves as my lock of the week. I believe Seattle is going to come out in this one angry that they let the Saints steal one from them a week ago. Arizona is going to be an unfortunate casualty of that anger, and the young team will get a full education from the experienced Russell Wilson. Expect Seattle to start strong, and not let up until this game is well out of reach.
